Copan's LBM® LIM Kit combines a 2 mL tube of LIM Enrichment Broth^TM with a sterile regular FLOQSwab®, providing a complete specimen collection and enrichment solution for the detection of Group B Streptococcus (GBS). The LIM medium^TM is a modification of Todd Hewitt Broth specifically developed for the selective isolation and enrichment of Group B Streptococcus from vaginal and rectal specimens. The included FLOQSwab® is designed for optimal specimen collection and release, helping maximise sample recovery and support reliable downstream microbiological testing. Following specimen collection, the swab can be placed directly into the LIM broth, where target organisms are enriched prior to culture and identification procedures. As part of the Copan LBM® family, the LIM Kit is supplied ready to use and requires no media preparation, supporting laboratory standardisation and workflow efficiency.
